  • The House of Bruar is widely acknowledged as Scotland's most prestigious independent store.

Conveniently situated on the A9, nine miles north of Pitlochry, no trip to Scotland is complete without a visit to The Home of Country Clothing .

The House of Bruar offers a unique variety of shopping opportunities rolled into one.

The House of Bruar Knitwear Hall is very much the centrepiece of our store. Housing the largest collection of cashmere in the UK, almost all of which is made in Scotland, the Knitwear Hall is quite simply unique.

Situated in the heart of our store, our Ladieswear department is comprised of four clothing halls, with a shoe and handbag department located in the minstrel's gallery.

Our Menswear Hall is spread over four main rooms covering casual wear, leather and silver gifts, Tweeds and outdoor clothing.

Our 10,000 square foot Country Living Hall is packed full of products that will surprise and delight you! If you want to brighten up your home or garden, there's no better place to visit

The Gallery is a light and airy space specifically designed to present our collection and showcases the very best in Scottish rural art in all mediums.

The Fishing Department can be found as you enter the Country Living building. We can equip you with anything you need for your fishing adventure

The main entrance to the House of Bruar takes you directly into our Food Hall , a true Mecca for the serious gourmet with a firm focus on Best of British and in particular Scottish produce.

Our self-service restaurant has a cosy, intimate feel that belies its 600-seat capacity. Whether you're looking for a quick sandwich and a coffee or you want a full sit-down meal, you're certain to be impressed by the sheer quality and variety of the food on offer.

The House of Bruar Butchery Team have over 80 years of experience between them and as well as servicing our main counter, they produce a range of delicious fresh steak pies, roast beef, and cooked hams.
