XpoNorth is Scotland's leading Creative Industries festival and support network. Formerly known as goNORTH, it takes place every June in the Highland capital of Inverness over two vibrant days and nights.
By day, XpoNorth hosts around 25 panels and workshops featuring leading industry players in the fields of fashion and craft, publishing, screen and broadcast and music.
By night, it offers an authentic blend of Highland hospitality in the form of networking events, coupled with a free new music showcase at various venues across Inverness city centre.
The unique atmosphere conjured up for delegates across the creative spectrum by this spectacular showcase of half-hour-long sets is all part of the magic of XpoNorth.
goNORTH started out in 2001 as a platform for artistes from the north of Scotland to showcase to the wider music industry on their own patch. It has grown and developed into a unique, and much anticipated, event in Scotland's creative calendar, with 1300 people attending last year. Its new name reflects this change in its make-up and its programme.
The intention is to grow the festival each year by developing the variety of workshops delivered, inviting key speakers and industry professionals, and increasing its presence throughout the year with news and information from the creative industries it represents.
XpoNorth, which is FREE to attend, is an unmissable event for anyone based in the Highlands and Islands who is series about forging a career in the creative industries.
XpoNorth, is funded by Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
